Hi, I play bass and have recently moved back to Marin from the East Bay. I'm looking for high-quality playing situations that could include jams, gigs, subs, you name it. I am available for something new and hopefully local. Money isn't so important; making really good music is. I'm an improviser and can create a very solid pocket for funk or groove oriented music (I'm also a solid drummer/percussionist). I love the Dead, Jazz, Phish, Reggae, The New Mastersounds, Funk, Rock, etc... pretty much anything with a high quality groove. I work well with chord charts. I have pro gear and transportation. I show up on time and I learn the music. Influences: Jazz, Reggae, Motown, Funk, Blues, Tony Williams, James Jamerson, Elvin Jones, Pino Pallidino, Miles Davis, Bob Marley, John Coltrane, Carlos Santana, DMB/Carter Beauford, Ben Harper, Billy Holiday, Aretha Franklin, Steel Pulse, Cannonball Adderley, Amy Winehouse, Stevie Wonder, Francis Rocco Prestia, etc. Thanks for your consideration!
