We're excited to introduce a new educational series, the HR Cafe: Lunch-n-Learn! The HR Cafe is an exclusive shareholder event designed to educate business owners and employees on best HR and employment practices. This session is perfect for business owners, HR professionals and managers interested in learning more about the ever-changing "mine-fields" of today's employment regulations and legal requirements for employers. In addition to the Chamber's Mind Your Business educational series, these sessions will occur bi-monthly. The first lunch-n-learn will be August 8 from 12:15 - 1:30 p.m. at the Lexington Chamber. The topic will be: How to "Ungoogle" Your Employee Handbook: How to Write Your Handbook for Defense Counsel Hosted by Joanie E. Winters of the Winters Law Firm. Joanie Winters is an employment law attorney with an extensive background in Human Resources.  She offers educational training for other chambers throughout the state and maintains her law practice in Chester, SC. Her practice represents both public, non-profit and private sector entities. Ms. Winters is the recipient of many notable awards, and we're honored to have her lead this new series and extend her knowledge to our shareholders. The Lexington Chamber and Visitors Center has been creating a community that grows business for more than 60 years.
