Class Description (What Is TiPS Training) Restaurants and bars are great places for people to socialize and have a good time. Unfortunately, that good time can get out of hand when people misuse alcohol. Servers must be able to deal with problem behaviors and the challenges associated with underage drinking and drunk driving. Whether you serve cocktails in a restaurant or bar, sell beer at a convenience or liquor store, or offer wine and other spirits in your own home, you could be held liable, or responsible, should one of your patrons, customers, guests or friends become intoxicated and cause damage to himself, others or property. Being certified in a quality alcohol service training program can prevent some of the problems that result from the misuse of alcohol.  The On Premise program is designed for servers at restaurants, bars, hotels, in-store tastings, or other establishments where alcohol is consumed on the premises. You will learn strategies that ensure responsible alcohol service, promote professionalism, and enhance customer service skills. In short, this class will increase your value as a server or bartender.   TIPS® (Training for Intervention ProcedureS) is the global leader in education and training for the responsible service, sale, and consumption of alcohol. TIPS is a skills-based training program that is designed to prevent intoxication, underage drinking, and drunk driving. More Details Please plan to arrive 10 minutes early for registration.   Light refreshment refreshments will be provided.  While there is a chance that we will finish early, please plan to be at the class until 5:30pm.Mobile devices are not part of the training materials.  Please respect the experience of your classmates and your trainer's time by using them only during breaks.   Space is limited so you must pre-register here to be considered enrolled.  If you are unable to pre-pay or if your company is paying your enrollment fees, please contact the trainer directly to make arrangements.  It is important that we have an accurate RSVP number.  Walk-ins may be turned away.  See above.  Cost for this workshop is $55, including all fees and refreshments.  Your TiPS certification is valid for three (3) years.  Even if your company is paying for this class, the certification belongs to you.   (i.e. you take it with you if you leave your current job)This class will be entertaining, fun, and informative.
