Du Nord’s Southside SocialThursday, August 4Under The Canopyat The Hook and Ladder Theater5:15pm: Ceremony and Parade 5:15 STARTS at Du Nord Social Spirits6pm Doors at HookThe event is free, but registration is required. Du Nord owners and founders, Chris and Shanelle Montana, invite you to Southside Social, a party for the community that has supported and sustained Du Nord Social Spirits during its first 9 years. The party will begin at the Du Nord distillery, with a Closing Ceremony for the original cocktail room. The cocktail room was the first of its kind in Minneapolis, and it was a vibrant community gathering place. It closed during the 2020 pandemic, and it will remain closed as Du Nord Social Spirits’ growth has made it ineligible to operate a cocktail room on-site in Minnesota.
While bittersweet, we are excited about what’s next for Du Nord. To celebrate, a brass band will lead a short street parade to the Hook & Ladder Theater (pro tip - park there beforehand), where there will be food, music, fun, and of course, cocktails. We will also be raising funds for the Du Nord Foundation, with games and a silent auction.
