Du Nord owners and founders, Chris and Shanelle Montana, invite you to Southside Social, a party for the community that has supported and sustained Du Nord Social Spirits during its first 9 years. The party will begin at the Du Nord distillery, with a Closing Ceremony for the original cocktail room. The cocktail room was the first of its kind in Minneapolis, and it was a vibrant community gathering place. It closed during the 2020 pandemic, and it will remain closed as Du Nord Social Spirits’ growth has made it ineligible to operate a cocktail room on-site in Minnesota. While bittersweet, we are excited about what’s next for Du Nord. To celebrate, a brass band will lead a short street parade to the Hook & Ladder Theater (pro tip - park there beforehand), where there will be food, music, fun, and of course, cocktails. We will also be raising funds for the Du Nord Foundation, with games and a silent auction. 5:15 Closing Ceremony outside the former Du Nord Cocktail Room (2610 E 32nd St. Minneapolis)Parking lot behind the Hook & Ladder Theater (3010 Minnehaha Ave, Minneapolis, MN 55406) - 7 min walk The Du Nord Foundation’s Community Market will be open to learn more about their work 5:45 Second Line Parade leaves from Du Nord distillery6:00 Doors open for the Du Nord’s Southside Social at The Hook & Ladder (3010 Minnehaha Ave, Minneapolis, MN 55406) Food will be catered by community restaurants (free meal and cocktail for the first 300 guests).
