American Chimney Shroud is seeking a full-time Sheet Metal Worker with experience in the sheet metal environment. This hands-on position will require attention to detail and the follow through of the production process for all chimney shrouds manufactured on-site. $30.00+ per hour pay rate (depending on experience) MUST be bi-lingual (English-Spanish). Weekly gas allowance Discretionary bonuses (monthly) Job Duties: Familiarity with measuring tools such as standard tape measure and angles are a MUST. Familiarity with basic manual cutting, shearing, pressing, punching, and bending machinery are a MUST. Hardware (drilling, riveting, fastener) and soldering experience is a MUST. Examines materials or products for surface defects. Compares product with part list or sample model to ensure completion of assembly. Perform in-process inspections and/or final inspections to ensure conformance to required dimensional, and cosmetic and other standards requirements. Examines products for structural defects such as internal cracks and cosmetic issues. Follow all safety rules and quality standards. Uphold all ISO and OSHA standards applicable to the responsibilities above. Work in a fast-paced environment with fast changing priorities. Keep work area clean and organized. Provide a great level of attention to detail and focus on the given task. Follow all company rules and policies. Follow all safety rules and quality standards. Work with team members to maximize productivity and efficiency. Assemble items as instructed by Department Leader or Executive Team Member. Lift raw materials, final products, and items prepped for shipment, manually, or using forklift when necessary. Operate machinery used in the production process or assist machine operators. Uphold all ISO and OSHA standards applicable to the responsibilities above. Utilizes hand trucks and pallet jacks to safely move products. Solid background working with sheet metal. Proven measurement and mathematical fraction/decimal conversion skills. Ability to distinguish material types including Steel, Stainless Steel, Copper, and other types of metals. Knowledge of manufacturing concepts. Must be a good communicator. Ability to prioritize multiple projects. Ability to lift heavy items (10 to 50 pounds average). Work Hours and Conditions: (This position requires shift work.) Mondays – Fridays 5: 00 am -1:30 pm Overtime as needed Mondays - Fridays Overtime on Saturdays is optional Employee may be exposed to dusty and noisy environments and may occasionally be working in extreme weather conditions including heat, cold, wind and rain. Pre-employment physical and drug screen is REQUIRED.
