Johnson County School Crossing Guard Hiring Events Set for August Johnson County job seekers interested in becoming school crossing guards when students return to classes in August for the upcoming school year are encouraged to sign up to attend upcoming hiring events. Hundreds of crossing guards are needed to serve at intersections throughout Johnson County. Safety-conscious candidates wishing to serve their communities are asked to apply at, attend one of the hiring events listed or call 913-203-8350 for more information. The Crossing Guard Company, a division of All City Management Services, contracts with local jurisdictions to provide crossing guard services. The company will follow up with job seekers to provide details about the position and schedule candidates at ACMS’ local office where management will conduct interviews and hire candidates. The open hiring events are being held the first week of August at the following locations: • Monday, August 1st 11am-1pm ACMS Office 8928 Nieman Rd Overland Park, KS 66214 • Tuesday, August 2nd 9am-11am ACMS Office 8928 Nieman Rd Overland Park, KS 66214 • Thursday, August 4th 12pm-2pm JoCo Library Blue Valley Branch Meeting Room 9000 W 151st St Crossing guards usually work close to where they live. Shifts vary from 30 minutes to an hour and pay $13.00 – $15.00 per shift depending on the area. Guards are needed across Johnson County in Overland Park, Lenexa, Olathe, Shawnee, Leawood, Prairie Village, Mission, Gardner, and Spring Hill. Successful applicants must be 18 years old, pass an agility and balance assessment, and pass a background check.
