Metropolitan Properties, a Multi-family Property Management Company is looking for a skilled, experience maintenance tech for Woodfield Commons, a 200 unit residential property. The technician should be well motivated, well organized, and understands that the residents are the center of the apartment community. Responsibilities The Maintenance Technician duties and desired characteristics include but are not limited: Works directly with the Maintenance Manager and vendors to diagnose, assess & repair issues including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, appliances, tile, carpet, walls, flooring Maintains records of customer interactions and transactions, recording details including actions taken on a work order Knowledge of make ready apartments is preferred Follows up on unresolved customer service issues to ensure issue resolution Prioritizes and manages your daily workload to ensure successful completion Maintains a working knowledge of policies and procedures and their proper application including efficiency, service and quality targets Responsible, along with Maintenance and office staff, for the appearance and the working order of the property, which includes individual apartments, common areas, and exterior areas. Job Requirements Technical experience with construction, electrical, HVAC, and Mechanical Systems A minimum of 2 years of experience in maintenance, construction, mechanical, HVAC, electrical, plumbing including appliance repair, power, water and sewer distribution Proven knowledge and application of codes, laws and regulations pertaining to public buildings and fire including ADA Excellent customer service skills The ability to successfully handle multiple priorities Must have good problem solving skills Ability to work under pressure Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
