Description
The Utilities Foreman's position involves administrative, supervisory, and operational responsibilities in managing day-to-day operations, maintenance, repair, and replacement activities for municipal streets, infrastructure, and related facilities.
A pipe foreman works for road construction and supervises the assembly and installation of piping systems. Pipe systems are vital in maintaining a municipality's water, sewage, and energy systems, so a pipe foreman needs to be careful not to make any mistakes.
• Utility foreman with knowledge of SAWS specs
• Experience with installing Water Pipe for mains and services
• Experience with installing Sewer Pipe for mains and services
• Experience with installing Storm Drain
• Experience with installing Fire Lines
• Understands OSHA excavation guidelines
• Ensure ground is prepped and trenches dug out for pipes by measuring the surrounding area where the pipes are going to be installed and cut the pipes to match.
• Professional, trustworthy, organized and can plan ahead
• Responsible for, to include but not limited to, assessing the ground conditions, digging trenches, assembling pipes, and laying pipes for both sanitary sewer and storm drain systems in accordance with construction documents.
