Irrigation Technician for large ranch property (2000 acres) in West Austin needed. One location, work schedule Monday-Friday, daytime hours. The Technician will work within a world-class Horticulture team to manage aspects of an Ultra-High-Net-Worth client’s working ranch including ornamental landscaping, football field turf, horses, and exotic animals. This is a truly dynamic environment where no two days are the same and service excellence for our client is the highest goal. Requirements: • High School Diploma required; college degree preferred • 3-5 years’ experience in large property irrigation management, horticulture, or agronomy • Possess or willing to obtain a Texas Department of Agriculture Noncommercial Pesticide Applicator license • Knowledge of landscape care and maintenance; turf plants, ornamentals, trees, fertilization, and disease control • Knowledge of irrigation systems; wells, pump stations, water delivery systems, weather station, and computerized irrigation control programs • Keen attention to detail, superb organizational and time management skills with ability to juggle multiple projects simultaneously • Must have high level of discretion when dealing with confidential client information Responsibilities: • Oversee aspects of landscape care and irrigation systems, coordinate contractor foreman and consultants, and perform hands-on maintenance for all department machinery • Evaluate water quality issues and manage water filtration and acid injection systems • Carry out special projects as required and directed by the Horticulture Manager and/or Director of Properties • Assist in the application of chemicals to mitigate plant damage Valued, But Not Required, Skills and Experience: • Private estate/ranch/hospitality/golf course experience • Bilingual in English/Spanish Why Work With Us? • Competitive salary and performance-based bonus program • 100% employer paid medical, dental, and vision insurance for employees and their families • 401(k) + match • Generous vacation and personal time off • Training and development opportunities • Programs and activities to encourage a balanced lifestyle *Must be willing to undergo full background check and drug screening *Full COVID-19 vaccination required
