Local Trucking Co in Wayland, MI. is currently searching for a Trailer / Hilo Mechanic. SUMMARY: Mechanics helps drive the success of our organization. We are seeking an individual to maintain and repair our fleet of trailers and Hilo’s to keep them in excellent working order. Responsibilities include but ae not limited to evaluating and completing all work and ensuring that all equipment meets or exceeds established quality standards while adhering to our Company policies/procedures. ESSENTIAL DUTIES WILL INCLUDE BUT NOT LIMITED TO: • The Mechanic should have the ability to explain technical repairs on work orders for service advisors on an as needed basis. • The Mechanic will use approved service techniques, materials and parts to properly service equipment. • The Mechanic / Technician will be familiar with Preventative Vehicle Maintenance and Manufacturer’s Suggested Maintenance Procedures. • The Mechanic will also be expected to perform light tractor work on an as needed basis. Job Requirements: REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, The Mechanic must: • Be able to lift up to 70 lbs without assistance, stand, sit, bend and twist for extended periods of time on concrete. • Have a valid Driver’s License. • Have a strong attention to detail. • Be organized, a hard worker, a team player and self-motivated. • Have an ability to communicate with all team members. • Have an ability to work well under pressure. • Have an ability to work in a fast-paced environment. • Have own tools. • Precious experience a plus but not required as we are willing to train. • Have a High School Diploma/GED.
