Westlake Double Murder Suspect Considered Armed And Dangerous

LOS ANGELES, CA — Los Angeles detectives are asking for the public's help in locating a 26-year-old man suspected of stabbing and killing his mother and six-year-old nephew in a Westlake district apartment. Police are also warning the community that the suspect, David Cordoba, 26, is considered armed and dangerous. Officers have been looking for Cordoba since Dec. 21 when they found they conducted a welfare check in the 1800 block of West 11th Place near Alvarado Street and Olympic Boulevard. Shortly before 10:30 p.m., they found the bodies of Maria Rodas-Lemus, 60, and Alan Cordova-Robles, 6, both of Los Angeles. Rodas-Lemus was the little boy's grandmother. Police said Cordoba stabbed his mother and nephew during a dispute. Cordoba also stabbed a third family member, who was taken to a hospital, according to police. That victim's condition was not available. Cordoba, who fled the scene, was described by police as 5-feet-5 inches tall and 140 pounds with a tattoo on his left forearm.
