Design your own t-shirt in this hands-on, online workshop! About the Workshop : Grab a plain t-shirt and join Artuta for a fun and engaging design workshop using special fabric paint from the Fun Pack! First, the instructor will demonstrate some possibilities for the project. Then kids will sketch their designs out on paper to formulate their ideas. Once we’ve decided on our designs, we’ll apply them to our shirts—light-colored works best!—using fabric pens and paints. The end of class will be reserved for sharing and reflection, and uploading our images to the Artuta Online Art Gallery. Please note that once the design has dried, an adult will need to set it using an iron according to the instructions we provide. Our student-centered teaching methodology fosters creativity, concentration, and problem-solving. Through the use of examples and by working along with instructors, students will naturally become familiar with lines, shapes, colors, materials and creative concepts. While students are welcome to follow along with the instructor, we encourage them to explore their own ideas, interests and personalities. Class sizes remain small, only admitting up to five students, in order to cultivate engagement and interactivity. Our students come to us from all over the Eastern Time Zone, which means in addition to becoming young artists, our students make new friends!
