vocalist looking for folk punk vibes

singer songwriter well versed in cranking out bedroom pop punk, literary alt rock, and DIY trap bangers. spent the past three years in a cabin realizing there's nothing more punk rock than creeping vines and moss devouring dead leaves and raccoon skulls. wanting to write something more authentic to who i am now -- who we all are -- rather than verse chorus verse over youtube type beats or my own shitty production. (examples: https://soundcloud.com/entitledlittlebitch/oh-hell https://soundcloud.com/entitledlittlebitch/lava-lamp https://soundcloud.com/entitledlittlebitch/token) problem is i have no formal music training or friends with shared influences, so i'm having trouble bringing the sounds in my head to life. i have a solid home recording set up and rehearsal space. (a back porch in the middle of the woods feels especially fitting for what i'm writing now.) but my production experience is too in-box and my rhythm guitar skills too rudimentary to do the songwriting justice. so i'm looking for acoustic instrumentalists with punk spirits, folk roots, and/or a deep love for the weird to help me breathe life into the project. influences are all over the place, but include bon iver, phoebe bridgers, lil peep, joanna newsom, the decemberists, elliott smith, the beatles, future, along with more genre appropriate acts like mcr, gaslight anthem, and neutral milk hotel. i have lyrics, melodies, and fx vocal flourishes aplenty, but i'm no auteur. so genuine collaboration is highly encouraged -- key changes, time signature shifts, atonal harmonies, and other such bolts of inspiration especially. any guitarists, double bassists, drummers, fiddlers, pan pipists, hurdy gurdy players, et al would be welcome on principle, so long as you're down to break bottles, branches, or bones. compensation in the form of herbal remedies, artistic fulfillment, and brotherly love. hope to hear from you fallen leaves soon. <3
