desperately need help finishing porch repair

Thought I could fix it myself. My biggest problem is putting in the hangers for four new support beams. This would certainly only be a one day job and I'm desperate. It was suppose to be done today but I keep screwing them in and taking them out because they aren't the right height. I'm so close to being done. Please
