Research Volunteers Needed to Study Hypertension

Medical College of Wisconsin investigators are conducting a study to see how salt effects blood pressure. This study includes - • Answer questions about health history and lifestyle • Providing blood and urine • MRI • Time commitment of 5-6 visits • Go on both a low and high salt diet Study participants must meet certain requirements to be in this research study. If you do not meet the requirements, the study staff can tell you why. -Ages 30 to 65 years of age -BP >120/80 & <160/100 mmHg -No use of glucocorticoids or blood pressure medication -No presence of bleeding disorders -No use of anti-platelet and anticoagulant agents such as clopidogrel, aspirin, dabigatran, rivaroxaban etc -No allergy to iodinated contrast or shellfish -No claustrophobia Where: • Adult Translation Research Unit (Froedtert Pavilion) Participants will receive compensation for their time upon completion of the study.
