If you love to spend time with cats, are a self-starter, and are able to work independently and manage a changing schedule, this is the job for you! Part time Cat Sitters needed for the following locations: Evanston, Skokie, Wilmette, Winnetka, Kenilworth / Zip Codes: 60201, 60202, 60203, 60091, 60076, 60077, 60093, 60043, 60053, Current available positions: Part Time Cat Sitter: We are an in-home pet sitting service exclusively for cats. Our goal is to make our client’s time away from home much easier by providing an alternative to the added stresses of boarding. Cat sitters provide daily drop-in visits for cats in client homes. They ensure consistent care and provide enrichment through playtime and companionship. Tasks include feeding, watering, medication administration (if needed), and scooping/maintaining the litter box. Cat sitters also provide basic home care, such as cleaning up any cat accidents (i.e. vomit, poop), plant watering and mail/newspaper retrieval. Daily Morning/Afternoon/Weekend: Shifts occurring between 7am - 1pm Daily Afternoon/Evening/Weekend: Shifts occurring between 2pm-9pm How We Work: We offer flexible, ongoing part time positions. We have found that this type of work is great as a permanent part time position or for someone looking to supplement his or her current income. Cat sitters start part time, earning between $16 and $20 per hour. This position will have greater earning opportunities based on availability, performance, and client demand. Are We a Good Fit for You? • You love cats • You enjoy a flexible schedule • You can work independently, and problem solve • You communicate well • You manage your time well Requirements: • You have a reliable car. • You live within 10-15 minutes of our service areas: (Evanston, Rogers Park, Skokie, Wilmette, Winnetka, Kenilworth). We do not reimburse for mileage. • You are available on weekends and for at least 2 of the 3 major winter holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Years (Don’t worry, you’ll be able to have a holiday too, and you’ll be paid more during holidays). • You must (1) be at least 21 years old (2) provide personal and professional references (3) submit previous employers for verification (4) pass background/criminal check if a position is offered. • You own a smartphone (iOS or Android) with the ability to run our scheduling software (using data and GPS as needed). • You can provide excellent customer service through personalized notes, photos, and messages. • You can commit to working for us for at least one year. Due to the bonding that occurs between sitter and cat(s), we require at least a one-year commitment to work with our company on an ongoing basis for any position with Purrfect Pawz N Palz Cat Sitting LLC. You don’t have to have prior cat work experience, but we find it helpful if you’ve had cats of your own before. • You are looking for a long-term position. We rarely hire for temporary or seasonal help. • You must be observant of behavior in cats, and be able to handle emergency situations with a calm, cool head. • You must have superb time management and organizational skills and should be able to follow very detailed written instructions. • You must be comfortable cleaning up accidents, such as vomit or poop. • You must be willing to work in any type of weather and be extremely reliable and dedicated.
