Description

Who do you look to for inspiration? Who helped shape you as an educator? Who is part of your lineage? Working as an educator can feel isolating. It can be hard to remember that we're part of a lineage of people who came before us. Every educator has a unique journey that led them to this profession. During our time together we'll look at the people who influenced our journeys and create a piece of art to remind us that we are not alone. What to expect: fun!guided discussionspace and time to reflect and write low-stakes, no-artistic-skills-necessary art projectideas for bringing this work into the classroomAmy Hirayama is an educator and writer who worked as an 8th grade Language Arts and Humanities teacher in Seattle Public Schools for 8 years.
