Enjoy a free, guided tour hosted by Sistah Aisamah Muhammad-Muneer. She will share her unique perspective as she guides visitors through In the Path of Islam, an exhibition curated by local Philadelphians. Objects on display include one-of-a-kind art and artifacts from one thousand years of Muslim culture alongside treasures from the homes of Philadelphia Muslims. In the Path of Islam is a place to share the stories of Islam and to celebrate Philadelphia as a center for indigenous African-Americans. The exhibition is held at The William B. Dietrich Gallery on the Third Floor of Parkway Central Library. It is part of a larger project made possible by the Free Library of Philadelphia and the Doris Duke Foundation for Islamic Art.
