Description

Hello everyone, I am in search of some like-minded musicians in a similar age range to play some Americana, Folk, Indie, and Cosmic Country music. And it’s always okay to throw a little Jazz or Blues in there. The goal in mind is to form a band and play gigs on a semi-regular basis. A professional hobby that supports itself and makes a little extra on top. If it grows into something more, that’s great! I am male, in my 30s, and have played in several touring and recording bands over the years. I am a strong singer and a good lead player. I play acoustic guitar, electric guitar, electric bass, and pedal steel guitar. I have some originals but mostly play covers. (not top 40 stuff) I think It’s okay to sound like the original but, never a good idea to try and copy it. I imagine any of the following: Drum kit, upright or e-bass, a few guitars, mandolin, wind instruments, piano, fiddle, pedal or lap steel, or? I can sing lead but would prefer to have several lead singers. Harmonies are a must. I am willing to start a band or join a band. Either way, I want to be a part of a group that can be upbeat and fun as well as bring the tears. I aim to serve the song while highlighting the talents of the band. I am open to any formation. Duo, trio, whatever works for the sound at the time. Please have a professional and kind attitude and be proficient and comfortable with your voice and/or instrument. I drink on rare occasions but am free of all other drugs. I have no problem with what you do on your own time but please do not show up to a rehearsal stoned or expect to drink and just “jam it out”. There’s a time and place for that, and during that time and place, I love to join in! but for rehearsals, no. Beverages during a show are appropriate if you keep it appropriate. Here’s a video of me singing some of the dust off. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zY99nSFcxdU And one of me backing a friend up. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_nqAYRj0uec Here’s a very short list of some songs I like to cover.
