This position is for a part to full time barn hand for our equestrian boarding center. Job duties include: leading horses in/out of barn and into assigned pastures, taking on/off fly sheets or blankets, feeding horses grain and hay, mucking 12 stall barn, mucking pastures. Other sides duties include blowing out the barn, sweeping, watering the indoor arena, cleaning water and grain buckets, washing stall fronts, depending on the day. Normal working morning hours are 7:30am - 12 pm with a 1 hour lunch break. Afternoon hours are from about 1-4pm. There is some ability to only work morning or only afternoon hours, or the entire day. Requirements: Some horse experience or willingness to learn all safety aspects and minor training/understanding of horses. Ability to lift and dump 30 pound manure buckets and 50 pound bags on occasion. Good communication skills with willingness to be a part of a team who serves the clients who board there.
