Description
Singer/Songwriter/Guitar Player is looking to start a project or join with others to showcase our talents with an emphasis on improvised jamming during instrumental breaks during the songs with a desire to play the notes in different ways every time for mostly original songs.
I play acoustic and electric guitar in the styles of rhythm, slide and lead.
Other instruments would be a tin/penny whistle, and a hand drum to use for songs or music of that style to add variety into our repertoire where the occasion may call for it.
I also have some experience with playing bass and would welcome that opportunity for a song or two if that is needed.
My desire is for us to take this up to a level of being a professional band.
I do not want to just jam in a basement or garage with it going nowhere.
And no flakes.
I need others to be as reliable and as serious about this project as I am while we have fun reaching our goals.
I want to play with 2-3 other musicians and whomever I connect with the hope would be for us all to learn, grow and be patient with one another having fun as we work on songs and navigate with goals into the music scene which should include paid gigs and recordings.
Communication is important in terms of knowing what is going on in between seeing each other for practices and gigs when things come up.
I would prefer local musicians that are in Madison or not too far away.
As long as we all have the right chemistry and can commit to a project, it is all good.
Motivations and music I like would be Grateful Dead, The Beatles, The Doors (Mostly live which is amazing.) Tom Petty, Soul Asylum, The Byrds, Woody Guthrie and other folk sounds and Justin Bieber. (Kidding about Justin! Just seeing if you have read this far.)
If you can relate to the above then get in touch and may we rock on and have fun!
