Description
Greetings.
I am considering offering an 8-week course on practical, relevant self-defense. This course will be open to anyone, but is likely to be not for everyone, and as such, I will be fielding e-mails from interested individuals to open a dialogue about your goals, and what I can and cannot offer. In this way I hope to collect enough persons who seem a good fit, and then will find a space and set up a schedule. I will be keeping the classes small, but with enough participants to ensure adequate pairing opportunities.
I am hoping to schedule classes in the fall. Cost will be determined in part by the cost of renting a space, tbd.
This course has no prerequisite training, and it is very probable that even persons experienced in martial arts will take away much. An open mind and willingness to face discomfort(because it IS an uncomfortable subject) and a reasonably able body are all you need!
My experience includes many years training in over two dozen martial arts from 4 countries, all honed over the last 20 years into my own approach to handling a specific type of immediate survival crisis. This class will in no way be attempting to teach any martial art, nor will any of it have any relevance in any sort of competitive arena. This is for self-defense, defined by myself as: Escape from imminent danger unharmed, by whatever means necessary, no more and no less. Think on this before you respond, as I feel every word is significant.
To learn more and start a dialogue, please email me! I look forward to hearing from you.
