GOT BAND? Want to improve your chops? No money needed! For the 5th season, “SCRIPTED JAMs”, is offering players and vocalist a way to improve YOUR skills; be exposed to new ideas to use in YOUR favorite music, expand your musical vocabulary; prepare to audition for playing out; play in a band environment on a steady once per month basis or simply enjoy being with other musicians. These sessions are NOT music lessons and are free of cost! What is a “scripted jam”? Wasting time and energy, most jam sessions consist of musicians/singers calling out tunes, in the hope that the others involved, will know the material. In a “scripted jam”, players choose the music in advance, have time to review the materials and prepare for the upcoming session. Players needing help with the material, prepare as best as possible and we help each other attain missing or difficult parts during the session. RESPECT for each other and our skill level is paramount. Players are never subject to any negativity by or from anyone in the session. How this works: ( after 5 Seasons ) A.We have PA and a clean and safe environment B. Players pick the material from any variety of genres, ( Pop, Alternative, Classic or hard Rock, RnB new and ole school, Funk, Dance, Reggae, Smooth Jazz etc ) C. Sessions are one time per month usually a week night from 7- 9PM. D. The assigned material, chosen by players, is supported with a YOUTUBE link for the arrangement and the chords.. key changes are discussed in advance and each member has a MONTH to prepare the materials/tunes. E. Season 6 Session #1 is scheduled to begin September 2022. F. Of great importance: RESPECT for each other, RELIABILITY and RESPONSIVE COMMUNICATION… INTERESTED!
