Porcupine Puffer

Description

Up for adoption is a saltwater porcupine puffer (Diodon holocanthus). I'm moving and combining systems, and sadly it won't be compatible. I have had it for 3 years and is about 5" in length. The puffer is very dog-like. It recognizes me and follows me around the tank when I have anything that appears to be a feeding bowl. It has a pretty peaceful temperament. Kept it in a community tank with triggers, clownfish, a dwarf lionfish, and even Banggai cardinals and others without an issue. It does pick up and chew on snail and hermit crab shells, and I give it clam shells to keep the beak ground down. $40 cash or venmo rehoming fee to be sure it's going to a good home. At the moment, it needs at least a 125-gallon tank, and may outgrow that in 3 or so years.
