I am currently the Lead Guitarist in a popular area band. I don't want to disclose here for obvious reasons, but once a conversation starts, we can talk about it. There's a pretty good chance you know my band. If you are in another band, that's cool...So am I. The way this project develops with dictate if I'm in 2 bands in 2023. My current gig schedule is full through autumn. I am searching for the right Bass and drums combination to begin working on a heavy Blues influenced band. Wide open to ideas, but a mix of recognizable blues rock and some interesting interpretations of other stuff. I am heavily influenced by power trio and 4some guitar heros like Trower, Travers, Hendrix, Bonamassa, KWS, SRV, Top, and others. The goal is for a tight, dynamic sound that moves us and others. As much as I'd like to play music for my own desire, audiences aren't interested in 3 hours of Robin Trower...lol. So with that in mind, it needs to be broader than that. What am I bringing? Solid lead guitar, good stage presence, years of live playing and decent connections. Lead vocal capabilities, although your vocals are welcomed and encouraged. Strong desire to play live in 2023. Solid, well equipped rehearsal space with PA, drums, bass and my stuff. A spouse who digs what I do (zero drama). 420 friendly, but zero alcohol for me. How about you? You need to know your instrument well. You also need to desire to put in the time and the desire to play live. You should have good stage presence AND experience. If you sing very well, you'll be singing plenty. Easy going with a stable life is pretty important, as well as some financial security and transportation. Contributions to the project are also desired, as all of us need to be into the tunes. If you partake in booze, just understand that rehearsals and gigs are NOT your night out drinking...Knocking a couple back is fine, but if your drinking effects your playing/life/job/spouse...You and I won't jive.
