Description

What Dads Can do and Supporting Baby Wisdom is a 3-class series founded in Cranial Sacral Tradition and connects us with our natural wisdom. Supporting Baby Wisdom blends traditions--teaching parents how to move therapeutically with babies. By learning a few simple movements designed to release trauma associated with the birth experience, we can all play a more conscious role in our baby’s growth and development. Parents are specially designed to handle their own baby. When they are aware of cranial concepts and the techniques of “unbirthing,” everyday events such as diapering, nursing, and cradling can become moments that encourage full neurological development. We will have photography and videoing during each session. Both mom and dad are required for attendance. Couples should purchase a ticket for each session (3 tickets total). New Birth Company is sponsoring the first workshop for all couples. Couples can purchase all 3 tickets at once, or can choose to pay each ticket individually to spread out the payments. If you have questions about payment plans, please reach out to Martina at [email protected]. Scholarships are available. Please reach out to [email protected] to learn more. Class 1. November 6th 2-5pm The third class in What Dads Can do series is all about the baby! We call this class Supporting Baby Wisdom. Babies have a great capacity to communicate with us through their own movement. Over the years, Lee has refined techniques to tap into baby wisdom that are simple, fun and easy to do, especially during everyday tasks like feeding and diapering. For example, when our babies kick, we can put our hands on their feet and follow their kick with a minimum of engaged pressure. Because babies are all one piece, their tight neck muscles begin to unwind when “cued” from their feet. Using our responsive hands, baby can explore many other options for unwinding. As the tight neck muscles unwind, digestion improves and the torsions generated from birth are released. In this way, the natural capacity for baby to come into balance gains full expression.
