This Lumber Society workshop will guide students through introductory plaited basket weaving techniques using reed splints. Plaited (woven rectangular) baskets make excellent storage containers and are a good introduction to basket-making tools and processes. These versatile forms can be scaled up as well as customized. Each student will leave with their own small woven basket. No experience necessary. Please bring a pad and pen to take notes.
