This year has been such a HUGE blessing. CrissCross was a dream that has blossomed and I am thankful, and hope to get to watch it grow. Because of the support and yoga classes I have been able to offer I want to give back when I can in ways that matter to my community. For our 1 year anniversary we will be partnering with Together We Rise to help children in our local community foster care. At any given time, there are approximately 430,000 foster youth in the U.S. with 1,200 new youth entering the system each day. Foster youth often have to face new and unfamiliar environments with little warning or preparation. On average, a child will move foster homes 4-6 times while in the system. Youth navigating this system can often lack a sense of normalcy or feelings that they can completely be themselves. Most foster youth do not have many possessions or have access to typical childhood activities. Together We Rise helps foster youth gain back this piece of their childhood by providing them with resources that they can call their own. By donating to my campaign, you will be joining supporting foster youth in regaining a source of joy and normalcy.
