Multiple positions available here: Sheeter Operator Assistant 2 - PORTLAND, OR - $20.00 Apply Here: Summary: Contribute to the overall success of the Paper Converting Division by assisting Sheeter and Rewinder Operator(s) and Coordinators in quality control, safety, and mandatory requirements involved in the daily operation of sheeting equipment. Monday through Friday 10:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. Essential Functions: • Aid in the sheeting/converting operations in accordance with the production schedules set by coordinator. • Prepare and load rolls of paper into the machine. • Conduct quality control measures at various stages of sheeting and rewinding processes to ensure the highest quality of finished product. • Accurately build various size pallets for special orders. • Prepare finished goods for shipping. Other Functions • Assist Sheeter Coordinator with weekly inventory reconciliation including bin locations, product identifications, and adjustments. • Unload trucks; assist in receipt and transfer of stock to sheeter warehouse. • Maintain a clean work environment; follow proper safety procedures and perform all job duties in a safe manner. • Perform other functions as required. Qualifications: • Minimum one year of experience in a production or warehouse environment preferred. • Previous forklift experience preferred. Knowledge, skills, & abilities: • Able to perform basic mathematical skills including use of measurement systems. • Detail oriented, able to work with little direct supervision; well organized, with the ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities. • Strong organizational skills: ability to communicate at all levels of organization and with employees of other companies and work well within a team environment in support of company objectives. • Ability to use forklift, pneumatic nail gun, power stapler gun, roll clamp truck, etc. • Able to maintain a clean work environment and follow safety requirements and principles. Working Conditions: • Able to lift to 75 lbs. or more waist high on a frequent basis and up to 100 lbs. on an occasional basis. • Must be able to sit or stand for extended periods of time; able to bend, stoop and kneel on a frequent basis. • Warehouse and mechanized environment subject to extremes in temperature. • Occasional overtime and participation in physical inventory required. • Frequent use of basic warehouse and delivery equipment (i.e., forklift, picker, pallet jack, etc.). Swing Shift Order Puller - PORTLAND, OR - $18.50 Apply Here: Summary: Contribute to the operational effectiveness of the Portland Division by providing excellent customer service in the fulfillment of customer orders in a warehouse environment. Swing Shift hours are 2:00 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. with some overtime. Essential Functions: •Fill customer orders: count out sheets, pull industrial items, prepare orders for shipment or count sheets to be cut to customer's specifications. •Load and unload trucks. •Assist in putting away and relocating stock. •Keep the floor neat and clean and the stock orderly. •Follow proper safety procedures and perform all job duties in a safe manner. Other Functions: •Break down empty cartons for recycling. •Identify stock that is not moving to management. •Assist warehouse staff from other areas when possible. •Perform other duties as requested. Qualifications: •One year of experience working in a warehouse environment preferred. Knowledge, skills & abilities: •Basic math, reading and writing skills. •Strong organizational skills; ability to communicate at all levels of organization and with employees of other companies, and work well within a team environment in support of company objectives. •Customer service oriented, with the ability to work well under pressure. •Ability to work without direct supervision. •Ability to operate lift equipment, reach trucks, etc. Working Conditions: •Ability to lift up to 75 pounds or more waist high on a frequent basis and up to 100 pounds on an occasional basis. •Warehouse and shipping dock environment, working in all weather conditions. •Overtime and some weekends may be required.
