Female: Rat Terrier; 13 years, 7 months Introducing Tammy a 13-year-old senior Rat Terrier. Tammy came to APA! with her brother when their owner died. They are in foster together and would like to be adopted as a bonded pair Despite Tammy's numerous health conditions, she enjoys going on short walks to the mailbox and hanging out with her brother Jim. They groom each other and lounge around the house together. Both Tammy and Jim are incredibly sweet and loving. They want nothing more than to be close to you but are well behaved when they are not! They don't bark or whine for more than a few seconds when they are first put to bed at night. They ride very nicely in a kennel in the car. Tammy is the sweetest girl! She never gets more than a few feet away from her foster. She lays on the bathmat while her foster is bathing. She loves pets but is not demanding of them. Tammy has been left alone in a restricted area for up to 6 hours and does fine. This means you can go out running your errands knowing she is safe inside her restricted space. Tammy needs someone who is home most of the time to make sure she gets frequent potty breaks. She is very low energy, so a low energy person like a retired person or older person will be a good match. Tammy would prefer a home with her brother Jim.
