MEET MR. MAGE --- AT risk 7/24 5pm Needs foster, group shares, pledges, and rescue! Needs lots of pledges for training ❌Meet Mr. Mage #A4743227, aka moonlight. He only has until Sunday, July 24th, EOB day by 5pm to find a rescue to pull him from MCACC — East shelter, and to find a foster or foster-to-adopt for this young fur boy who is only ~2yrs old or he will be euthanized. We MUST find an experienced foster and reputable rescue who are experienced in handling the American Staffordshire Terrier breed, as Mr. Mage is a little bit of a man of mystery and needs someone who is as smart and as fast a learner as he is! Basically, you've got to be on the same level for this wicked smart boy to keep up with him and earn his respect. Even though the best way to get to him immediately is thru his stomach as he LOVES his treats and will become putty in your hands❌‼️ He does have a scratch bite on his record due to some guarding issues with toys and possibly food. He will need some help with that. A trainer can help. Meanwhile he will need to be fed separately. He does well with submissive dogs, but please no food or toys. He knows more commands than most dogs learn in their whole life, i.e. SIT, DOWN, UP, WAIT, LEAVE IT, SPIN and GO POTTY. When he first arrived at the shelter back on May 31st all his notes were ALL positive where was a wiggly, soft body, solicited attention, extremely affectionate, playful and non reactive to other dogs around him.
