Description

Two male brother cats. They'll be two years old in August. They are bonded brothers from the same litter and must go together. They come with all their supplies. See list. They're both neutered and chipped and have had all their vet tests and vaccines. I have the paperwork from the vet and their tags for rabies and their microchips. They're due for a check up in August. I'll pay for each to have one visit for their check up at their vet. This would be a good chance to give the vet your info for their microchips. I'm not sure how that works. They have never been around kids or dogs so I don't know how they'll do in those situations. They are indoor cats and have never been outside. I got them in October 2020. They were born mid August 2020. They're both well behaved and they get along well. They really like to run and tumble. They do recognize their names but I think if it's done slowly their names could be changed. The pics I posted are not current. They've grown some since these were taken. Their personalities are very different. Henry Mancini (white paws) is very friendly and likes attention. He always likes to be at my feet wherever I'm sitting. He reaches up and pets my knee and pets my cheek if I bend down. He doesn't mind being picked up or held. Burt Bacharach (all grey) is more standoffish. But he's very handsome... He's not thrilled with being "caught." Like say to go to the vet... He'll let me hold him but gets squirmy if I walk while holding him. If I get him in my lap he'll sit and let me pet him. Unlike Henry, Burt would prefer that I keep my hands to myself. As long as keep the food coming that is. As for why I'm looking to rehome them. I'll admit I was one of those people who got pets during the pandemic due to living alone and working from home. I understood the commitment I was making and took it seriously. My situation has changed drastically. I'm moving and need to consider what's best for Burt and Henry. They're nice kitties. They're not destructive or causing any problems. They really love to play. They go nuts for the fishing pole toy and laser light. I had never had a cat before them and I think I failed to socialize Burt properly. I strongly suspect Burt will become much more friendly and approachable in the care of someone more experienced with cats. Supplies/food included: Dry food and wet food I have left. Cat crack catnip Various treats Food bowls Harness and leash sets for each Two Feliway multi cat plug in diffusers and one Feliway refill in box (not sure if these do much) Large cat tree still in new condition Cactus cat scratcher Petsafe automatic litter box One or two extra Petsafe litter trays Two airline approved soft side carriers Large soft side pet carrier crate 42x31x31 Fishing pole toy Cardboard scratch pads Two sided brush I'll throw in the box of 55 gallon trash bags I bought because normal yard bags were too small for their litter trays I'll include a Breeze multi cat litter box. I didn't like it because they tracked the litter pellets out of the box when they were still little. It might be a good backup. They're still eating dry kitten food. I've tried but it's what they still prefer. Two kinds, Purina One Plus dry kitten food in chicken and Iam's Proactive Health healthy kitten chicken. They like Sheba cuts in gravy. They're not crazy about the pate type. I'm sure it's all the same but they like the little chunks. They'll eat the pate eventually sometimes. To help their transition, I'm happy to send some of their favorite foods to their new home via Amazon. They've spent a few months in my condo alone with me coming to feed them a few times per week. My son is taking over my condo so he's there with them now. He's considered keeping them but would prefer to have his dog with him rather than living with me and his dad which is where I live now. We're moving out of state in October. I don't want to part with Burt and Henry but I've put it off way too long. They deserve a much better situation than the one they've been in the last few months. Craigslist says I should charge a rehoming fee. I'm hoping to find them a safe and happy new home.
