Culver City Crossroads December 29, 2020 For Culver City High School junior True Jackson, a young musician and songwriter, quarantine has been a difficult time, yet also one of the best motives for her creativity in music and songwriting. The 16-year-old's songs chronicle life before and during the onset of Covid-19. According to Jonathan Kim at the LA Times High School Insider, Jackson began guitar and singing lessons by the age of seven. By the time she was ten, she had already started to write and record her own songs for a movie directed by her mother and one written by a friend of her family. "The pandemic has actually made me more creative. It forced me to sit with myself and figure out what I really wanted," she said. "I can be sad, happy and in-between.
