This course covers our Justified Use of Force lecture as well as Mindset and Strategies. Many have purchased a firearm to protect themselves and their family, but do not understand the awesome responsibility and accountability that accompanies the use of a lethal weapon. Your family, your friends, your finances, your freedom, and your place in society are all on the line when you make the decision to use lethal force. Understanding the justified use of lethal force is as important to your self protection as knowing how to operate your firearm...especially in this environment. Justified Defensive Concepts is expanding upon our already well received “Justification on the Use of Force Lecture”. Our instructor team has delivered this material at National Level Events. Some of it is delivered at our “Proficiency” Events and “Defensive” Events. The necessary information to make good quick decisions regarding the appropriate use of force based on legal requirements will be presented. This clinic is a lecture format with plenty of room for questions and discussion with experienced law enforcement officers and law enforcement instructors with decades of experience in dealing with criminals and using appropriate force when necessary and reasonable, as well as teaching other professionals to do so. You will get exposed to multiple perspectives. The elements that allow the reasonable use of force: Ability, Opportunity, Intent, Jeopardy, and Preclusion will be thoroughly explained and viewed against the stipulations required by the landmark U.S. Supreme Court Case Graham vs Connor and other relevant case law. This justification material alone is requested as a stand-alone block of instruction by many people who are aware of our reputation. Mind Set and Avoidance Strategies, equally critically important material for all well-rounded defensive practitioners and armed professional will be presented. Mind Set is the foundation of an effective Combat Triad. Duration: 4 hours, depending on the discussion.
