Are plus size bashes for real?

I've received numerous invites to this plus size event in Las Vegas in August. Based on the pictures, there are many women with Lipedema and men who seem to like them. Has anyone else been to an event like this? I'm considering going since I have family in Las Vegas, but I'm not sure that I'll be in the right scene with all those youngsters. Any thoughts would be appreciated! I was diagnosed with Lipedema myself. About 10% of the women in the United States have it and most doctors don't know about it. I'm in my 60's, stage 3 Lipedema and shaped like a pear. I would like to still have fun! Please let me know if this connects with you! I'm in Southern California.
