The City of Carlsbad has scheduled a special meeting of the City Council to be held on Tuesday, Jan. 5 at 3 pm. Due to the holiday schedule, the agenda and staff report will not be published until Monday, Jan. 4, which meets the Brown Act 24 hour advance notice requirements for a special meeting. However, the purpose of the meeting is generally for a full council to reconsider the staff reports and recommendations regarding enforcement options for the county health order discussed in prior staff reports dated Sept. 22, 2020 and July 28, 2020. Public participation in the meeting will be the same as for other council meetings.
By phone: Sign up at https://www.carlsbadca.gov/cityhall/clerk/meetings/default.asp by 2 p.m. the day of the meeting to provide comments live by phone. You will receive a confirmation email with instructions about how to call in. The meeting registration page will be available once the agenda is published.
In writing: Email comments to [email protected]. Comments received by 2 p.m. the day of the meeting will be shared with the City Council prior to the meeting. When e-mailing comments, please identify in the subject line the agenda item to which your comments relate. All comments received will be included as part of the official record. Written comments will not be read out loud.
