Lets get the shelter open & start solving this problem that we have allowed to invade our city. When the shelter opens give ALL residence 15 days to vacate the illegal camp & go to shelters. At the shelters they can be assessed for what they need & how to provide needed services. At the end of 15 days go in & remove any & all remnants of this camp! If anyone returns to the area arrest them for trespassing. It is time to quit coddling these folks & fix the root causes of the problem. Letting them run amuck in our neighborhoods & stores needs to stop before we become Seattle or Portland. Ask Fred Meyers on Thor if they have problems with Camp Hope. drive by & see over 100 FM grocery carts. Ask the neighbors if they are affected. The police fly drones over camp to spot stolen items. We DO NOT owe anyone a safe haven to do drugs & run their theft runs from. By doing the above we force them to be more abiding of ALL of our laws or pay the consequences! By allowing them to continue on the current path we only embolden them to expand & continue to breaking our laws which protect usthe 99.9% of the remaining population of Spokane area. We need to take back our city & protect our citizens & stores. NOW is the time before winter sets in. I personally do not mind spending my tax dollars to actually make the fixes work when put into place. Drive by Camp Hope & see it growing & overflowing into additional blocks. It is growing daily! For those that wont leave lets build a tent city out at Geiger prison for the law breakers like Arizona did. No matter we pay monies to ignore or fix the problem. At Geiger they get shelter better than they have now & free food. They just wont be doing drugs or stealing from the hard working citizens.The sooner we move on this the cheaper the bill.
