Michael Chabon is the bestselling and Pulitzer Prize-winning author of Moonglow and The Amazing Adventures of Kavalier & Clay, among many other titles.
Together, Waldman and Chabon edited both Kingdom of Olives and Ash: Writers Confront the Occupation and Fight of the Century: Writers Reflect on 100 Years of Landmark ACLU Cases, and with Susannah Grant, they are the creators and writers of Netflix’s award-winning true-crime mini-series Unbelievable, about a series of rapes in Washington state and Colorado. In addition, Chabon is a creator and writer of the Paramount+ series Star Trek: Picard, which has returned Patrick Stewart to the screen as celebrated Enterprise captain Jean-Luc Picard.
They'll discuss this collaborative screenwriting work as well as their individual creative processes in conversation with Slate columnist Laura Miller.
