Male Persian, 5 years old, neutered. “Pumpkin Pete” or “Pete-Pete” needs a new home. Born in Tennessee, Pete came to our family from an uncle who breeds Persians- he is pure bred, although because he was one of the kitties they were keeping, he does not have papers. We have had him for 3.5 years of his life, during which he has been a strictly indoor cat. Pete needs a quiet home with no young children or dogs. Until about a year ago we have not had any concerns with him around our children (currently 8, 5, 3, and 1 years old). We have now had 2 times where he was seen, unprovoked, to lash out (one nip, one scratch) at our 3 and 1 year olds, not breaking skin, but leaving us uncomfortable having him in our household, as we have a new baby coming in 2 months. Pete will come with food, a water fountain, food dishes, brush, and his litter trays. We do not have a carrier for him, so please be prepared to bring one to transport him to his new home. Bonus: Pete is an excellent mouser!! We ask for a rehoming fee of $150, as we want to be sure he going somewhere he is truly wanted.
