The DEALER may cross-deal if he or she chooses to do so. BUT CARD CHECKING IS PROHIBITED. * (Trump cards are as follows; Big Joker (will be known), Lil Joker, 2 of Spades, Ace of Spades, King of Spades, Queen of Spades, Jack of Spades, etc.) ⛔ 2 of hearts & 2 of diamonds are taken out for the duration of the game. * 1=10 (1 book/trick = 10 points) * For every team bid, there must be a minimum of board (board = 4 books/tricks) between each team bid. * There must be a minimum of 10 books/tricks per table bid (both teams' bids combined must meet a minimum of 10 books/tricks). If both teams cannot reach a combined bid of 10 books/tricks, that particular game is forfeited and no teams collect any points. The next DEALER will shuffle in a new game. * Any team may take a "blind" bidding number (BLINDS: choose a bid BEFORE cards are dealt). All blinds are double points both ways. Meaning, if a team makes its blinds then they are granted double points. If the team fails to make it's blind, then the team loses double points, blind 10 (books/tricks) = 200 points. ⛔ Blinds example: team chooses 7 books/tricks = 70 points (place your blind bid BEFORE the DEALER deals the deck of cards) and succeeds collecting 7 (70 points) books/tricks, the team is granted 140 points; if the team fails the team loses 140 points. * NO Spades can be played as any PLAYER'S first play of the game. PLAYERS may only use Spades as first play if that PLAYER has no other suit available (Only Spades) or, after spades have been used as a cut card during a hearts, clubs, or diamonds play. * PLAYERS hold their own books/tricks. * Winner of the last PLAY starts the next PLAY. * The game is in PLAY when the DEALER starts his/her card dealing. * While the game is in PLAY. No facial expressions (hints) to partner, conversing/talking about strategy or anything game related across the table. Not even about previous or past games played. * "Trash talking is for when the new game is being prepared" * Sandbagging: 10 points will be deducted for every 2 books/tricks over your actual team bid. * If your team gets set 3x in one round you both are eliminated. * Automatically eliminated if these rules are not upheld. * If a PLAYER is caught reneging by any of their opponents (RENEGING: PLAYING A SPADE CARD/TRUMP CARD TO WIN (a) BOOKS/TRICKS AFTER STILL HAVING SAME SUITS). The opposing team will collect 3 books/tricks from the reneging team if, ⛔ Opposing team has 1 opportunity to choose and turn over whichever card they think is a reneged book/trick. If the opposing team gets the choice wrong then that opposing team loses 3 books/tricks to the "reneged" team. SO PAY ATTENTION TO ALL CARDS IN PLAY!!! * First team to the max points wins. * Max 300 points per elimination game. If any team runs a Boston during any PLAY of the game. That team wins that elimination game (Boston: one team collects all 13 books/tricks) * Max 500 points per Championship game. * If eliminated you may stay to watch other games, BUT, the eliminated team is PROHIBITED from over-the-shoulder PLAY. (Over-The-Shoulder Play: Watch another PLAYERS hand while game is in PLAY) ⛔ If you're having trouble understanding these game rules please ask an assistant for help!
