For this uplifting session, Noah Currier, the founder of Oscar Mike Foundation and Oscar Mike Apparel will join us at Keller Williams Realty Signature to share his story and how his organization helps benefit our nation's veterans.
Noah was one year in the military when 9/11 happened. He did two tours in Iraq only to return home and have his life turned upside down. Three days after he returned home uninjured from war, he was in a vehicle accident that paralyzed him from the neck down. Six months later he lost the love of his life the exact same way he lost his ability to walk. For years he suffered from severe depression, frequent thoughts of suicide and was lost in a downward spiral. The Disabled American Veterans and the Paralyzed Veterans of America were constant influences for Noah during this time as they continuously encouraged him to participate in activities such as the Winter Sports Clinic and the National Veterans Wheelchair Games. He finally agreed and the decision would positively change his life forever.
Noah found that staying physically active was a game changer and he wanted the same for other injured veterans. He officially started Oscar Mike and the Oscar Mike Foundation, cleverly named as it is military radio jargon for "On the Move".
Please join us on Tuesday, August 9th at 11 am to hear about Noah and the work he's doing with Oscar Mike!
