Saturday, Oct. 15th @ 7pm (Doors open at 6pm) Jenuine Cello at The Art Lounge, SPI, TX "The Listening Sessions" at SPI's The Art Lounge is a chance for music and art enthusiasts to gather in an intimate space and experience performances in a quiet listening room environment surrounded by inspiring art. All ages welcome, this is an INDOOR event. Tickets available for $20 through Eventbrite or $25 at the door. This monthly series begins with a homecoming concert by Jenuine Cello, a Texas Native whose classical training has evolved into a genre-bending looping project. Listeners essentially 'eavesdrop' with a front row seat to the creative process as cellist Jen Mulhern builds each piece from scratch. Jenuine Cello, aka Jen Mulhern, is a captivating model of a modern one-woman band. Her live compositions take listeners on a road trip free from genre, saturated with an array of influences. With undercurrents of Bach, Bjork and everything in between, her music combines classically-infused inspiration with raw textures to create a unique sound of layered soulful puzzle pieces.
