$25/hr to start, after training ($22/hr), plus year-end bonuses. I am seeking the right person for a permanent part-time job as my house cleaner/bookkeeper/personal assistant. Ideally this will be 10-12 hours per week, and will include housecleaning, filing and bookkeeping, and errand-running. In rare instances, the workload may drop to as few as 8 hrs a week (with your consent), but it is more likely that it will also increase to as much as 15 hrs a week periodically (again, with your consent). I can work around your schedule to pick your days and hours — I’m very flexible — but I do require that you be dependable and responsible and commit to me for a minimum of 10-12 hours per week. About me: I am an older, disabled, somewhat disorganized, and a bit lazy woman. I own a small archaeology and history company that generates the need for filing and very light bookkeeping. Although I am often away from Ellensburg for long periods of time, when I am home and in a pain flare, or sick, there can be more than one day in a week that I cannot get out of bed. I love my family and friends, and animals — and I recycle and care about our environment. I tend to take on those who need help, fight for the underdog, and generally embrace progressive causes. Just fyi! I am kind and generous, but my graduate level education and former life in law enforcement mean I tend to research my employees quite deeply before hiring. I am basically in need of someone to help me by co-managing my business and personal life, and I need to be able to trust you completely. I communicate by text, email, Messenger, and phone….and I love to mentor and otherwise help people who are younger than me (if they want!). About you: you are looking for a solid part-time job that offers flexibility. You are a very good communicator, but can work with minimal supervision, and are good at seeing things that need to be done and taking the initiative to complete them. You have references and can pass a background search. You are highly organized and precise, patience as Job, and are not allergic to cats. You have a valid driver’s license and have your own transportation to and from my house (between CWU and the downtown). I would prefer you have at least two years of college, and are computer-literate, though the college isn’t critical if you are a decent writer and are comfortable using email, phone, texts, and social media. A bonus is if you are able to be assertive with me about purging unused items from my home, and then helping dispose of things. Travel outside of Ellensburg is never required for this position. Ideally you know your way around Ellensburg. And i would prefer you to be physically fit enough to climb stairs, clean house, and occasionally lift 35lbs, though we can discuss some accommodations, if necessary. And finally, please be understanding that my days don’t really start til after 9am! Lol. The employee I have now has been with me for over 7 years, but is moving out of town for her career. She is willing to train my new hire, starting as soon as possible, and I will also rely heavily on her for hiring her replacement. I will pay my new employee $22/hr during training, with a bump to $26/immediately upon my current assistant leaving. Future raises will be given not less than annually, with the expectation that you could be earning $30/hr in 18 months.
