Come to St. Clement’s Episcopal Church on Saturday, July 30th, at 1 PM to learn about • Home modifications we can make to enhance our home safety; and • Resources and services available for independent seniors. All are welcome. Coffee & dessert will be served. This event is free and parking is available. Architect Michael Knettel, Senior Regional Consultant with Young & Associates, will discuss several types of modifications to make homes safer for seniors: • Easy modifications, such as toilets, surrounds, and handrails • Shower modifications; walk-in showers & tubs • Wheelchair & walker accessibility, including doors, frames, and ramps, both permanent & portable. Mr. Knettel will include projected costs of the various modifications. Patricia Henderson, Outreach and Community Services Manager for the Senior Connections Center, will offer information about the many resources available to seniors in Hillsborough County. She will emphasize available services and their costs. St. Clement’s Episcopal Church is located at 706 W 113th Avenue, Tampa.
