Quantem Aviation Services is hiring Full-Time Cargo Lead at our Bradley International Airport (BDL) location. |TYPE: Part Time |SHIFT HOURS: 1630 - 2200 (04:30 p.m. - 10:00 p.m.) (Inquire about our Employee Referral Program!!) In this role, you will load and unload containers from our customers’ aircraft. We work in all types of weather. Join our team and build a long-term career with us. RESPONSIBILITIES: • Ensures all QAS and customer safety standards are met and maintained. • Maintain a safe working environment for subordinates. • Lead operations to organize the base in a manner free of a hazardous situation. • As directed by the General Manager and/or Operations Supervisor, provide training for base employees. • Work with the General Manager/Operations Supervisor to maintain Quantem Customer Service standards • Track and trace cargo, alert customers of new regulations, flight schedules, weight restrictions, and flight delays. Inform them of billing, suggest preferred routings, and assist with loading/unloading cargo • Ensure that all flights that Quantem loads and/or unloads operate on time; • Respond to customer inquiries and requests in a timely manner. • Properly and safely loads and unloads freight. Including the build-up and break down of cargo pallets and freight containers following guidelines. • Protects freight from elements, damage, and vandalism. • Holds equipment certifications and operates equipment safely. Must successfully complete all training classes. • Obtains proper security documents for all shipments. • Verifies upon receipt from customer shipment pieces, weight, dimensions, and airworthiness. Verifies upon delivery to customer shipment pieces and airway bill numbers. • Performs other duties assigned by QAS management. • Compliance with all applicable environmental laws and permits. REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS, EDUCATION, AND EXPERIENCE: • High School Diploma or GED Required • Valid US driver’s license • AOSSP/MSP, FAA/TSA, dangerous goods, Air carrier Hazmat, SIDA, and Equipment Certification • Must be able to pass all required background and Clearance requirements • Successful completion of required airport badging process and pre-employment drug screen is required • Intermediate computer skills with a working knowledge of Microsoft programs (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel) ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS: • Regularly required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; speak clearly and hear efficiently • Employees must regularly lift and/or move up to, in excess of 25/55 pounds • Employees must have the ability to climb 15-foot heights for work • Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus BENEFITS INCLUDE: • Medical • Dental • Vision • 401(k) Retirement Plan • Employee Discount Programs • Employee Assistance Program • Other Employee and Employer Paid Benefits Apply at:
