Orion Warehouse Technician – Team Member The Warehouse Technician is a supporting role to the warehouse manager to coordinate and provide delivery and support of materials, equipment, and related services for multiple job sites to assist in meeting overall warehouse mission. This individual reports directly to the warehouse manager. Position requires a strong commitment to customer service. Major Duties: • Process Job Order requests • Job delivery and pick-up • Assist with inventory management and control • Overall warehouse order and upkeep • Proper handling and disposal of waste • Preparation and completion of waste manifest for disposal of materials • Overall warehouse organization and upkeep • Daily inspections of vehicle and equipment maintenance, DOT compliance, Vehicle compliance (i.e., registration, DOT #’s, Logbooks, Vehicle Inspections) • Develop strong working relationship with Field team to ensure customer satisfaction • As part of the warehouse team, work to promote, teach, and maintain a safe work environment(s) throughout Orion. • Working with Management to identify, develop and implement opportunities to reduce costs and improve efficiencies • Other duties as assigned • Willing and ability to get their CDL Class A License • Must have valid Driving License and be insurable General Job Description and Responsibilities: The warehouse technician is responsible for the efficient storage and dispatch of a wide range of goods including, but not limited to, materials, tools, machinery, auto fleet, PPE and clothing, while working as part of a team in implementing measures to increase the company’s effectiveness and efficiency. As the warehouse technician you are required to understand and support, processes and systems in inventory management (FF Flo orders and returns), shipping AND receiving of goods and equipment both into and out of Orion’s warehouse. As part of the warehouse team, you will work to ensure workplace health and safety requirements are met and take responsibility for the security of the building, facility grounds and commodity stock. As a warehouse technician you will work to fill the daily demands of field staff to make projects as efficient as possible, assist as needed with inventory control, equipment and vehicle inspections or maintenance as deemed necessary by management and be proactive in property upkeep and organization. Facility & Safety: • Maintain standards of health, safety, hygiene, and security in the work environment • Maintain housekeeping of warehouse, and site maintenance as directed • Take responsibility for the security of the property, building and equipment of Orion Order Fulfillment and return: • Ensure quality of order fulfillment by utilizing inventory management tools and electronic methods for tracking of all equipment and materials sent to field projects • Coordinate with warehouse management any field communications sent by email, phone, text, or other information systems • Communicate market conditions and merchandise costs to management • Work to resolve any inventory/equipment issues prior to field deliveries to ensure 100% accuracy of all orders for all deliveries • Inspect all electrical and mechanical equipment for proper operation before delivery to field and before returning to inventory • Note any deficiencies of materials and equipment, report to warehouse management immediately for tracking and repair • Prepare and process all field orders and returns with 100% accuracy, be aware of potentially missing items and work with the field to ensure they have what they need, and returns are accurate Tools, Fleet, and Inventory: • Be proactive in inspections of vehicles, machinery, and equipment if you see something wrong, document with management team • Turn in all Receipts for purchases, rental equipment pick-up and returns and packing slips from inventory deliveries to the field or warehouse so they can be properly processed Qualifications/Skills Required: • Preferred to have warehouse and/or delivery experience • Quantitative and analytical skills. Must have excellent documentation and oral communication skills • Ability to mobilize equipment and tools up to 50lbs, • Strong interpersonal skills to work in a diverse, dynamic and fast-paced environment • Self-motivated and flexible to accommodate changes in project demands • Computer skills • Full attention to what other people is saying, taking time to understand the points being made, asking questions as appropriate, and not interrupting at inappropriate times • Understands written sentences and paragraphs in work related documents • Obtains and sees to the appropriate use of equipment, facilities, and materials Reporting: • The warehouse technician reports to the Warehouse Manager.
