As a Refuse/Recycling Material Collector, you will: * Operate packer trucks, step van trucks, or other equipment necessary to remove waste and recycling materials from various building locations and transport it to the appropriate landfill or recycling facility. * Perform daily inspections and minor maintenance of equipment and report malfunctions or required repairs to supervisor or mechanic. * Follow a preset or modified route and collect route survey information for data collection. * Deliver materials to authorized facilities. * Operate radio to communicate with other drivers and receive instructions from supervisor or dispatcher.   What you bring to the position (minimum qualifications): * High school diploma or equivalent. * 2+ years of CDL or related experience (equivalency considered). * Strong mechanical background. * Good communication and organizational skills. * Class B CDL with air brake endorsement. * Must have a valid driver’s license and meet University driver eligibility requirements.   Criminal history background check, driving record review, and pre-placement physical will be conducted.
