Saylorville Lake Marina is hiring full time Maintenance Associates. Will perform general maintenance and operate tractors and other large equipment to launch and haul out boats. The Maintenance Associate is responsible for carrying out operations for the marina. The Maintenance Associate’s primary responsibility is the quality and upkeep of the marina and launching and hauling of boats. This person will perform upkeep tasks such as repairs and cleaning. They will be responsible for applying basic fixes to equipment and building systems and ensure facilities are tidy and functional. The Maintenance Associate projects a professional company image through all types of interactions. As this is a fast pace environment, must be able to work under pressure. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Inspect and troubleshoot equipment and systems (e.g. ventilation) 2. Provides the highest level of customer and guest services, expedites any and all maintenance requests from management. 3. Do garden/yard upkeep by mowing lawn, collecting trash etc. 4. Operating tractors, loaders, and telehandlers. 5. Back boat trailers down boat ramps and into parking spaces. 6. Install appliances and equipment 7. Perform minor fixes such as repairing broken locks, filling gaps on walls and any other marina specific duties that are requested 8. Collaborate with workers and other professionals during renovations 9. Uses hand tools and power tools in making minor maintenance repairs and maintaining grounds and walks. 10. Performs touch up and finish painting. 11. Maintains awareness of safety issues and reports them immediately to supervisor 12. Other duties as assigned by management QUALIFICATIONS: 1. Prior maintenance experience preferred, not required 2. Ability to read and utilize technical manuals and drawings 3. Experience or knowledge working with tools, including hand and electrical tools 4. Must have highly effective communication skills and time management skills 5. Must be able to maintain a calm, positive attitude during periods of high activity 6. Ability to manage multiple project simultaneously 7. Excellent attention to detail. 8. Must be able to pass a background check 9. Basic water safety skills 10. Must be able to work in extreme weather conditions 11. Ability to work under pressure. 12.
