"Both complainants reported that they were home with their wives and children when they heard gunfire at midnight," TPD said in a release on Friday.
The first incident saw a family living in the 1600 block of Mimosa Park Drive report a bullet coming through the ceiling of a bedroom and shattering a window. The second instance was reported minutes later, when a family at their home on Second Place East said a bullet came through the living room ceiling.
TPD then pointed out that it is a felony to shoot into an occupied building, whether the shots were fired intentionally or recklessly.
