The Midnight Purchase is a six-piece folk rock/americana band from Milwaukee, WI. Vocalists Sarah Day Winders and Orlando Peña’s stories of foolhardiness, loss, love, and lessons learned the hard way are brought to life by a rhythm section that is inspired by much heavier music. Jimmy Richardson’s lead-like bass lines over Steve Luna’s complex beats coupled with a soulful touch on the fiddle by Nikolai Gurda and rock steady sounds of Derek Peterson on the keys all come together to make The Midnight Purchase a true melting pot of influences, creating a sound that is familiar yet entirely its own. Jack Tell is a singer-songwriter residing in Milwaukee. He was known back in the day for his band Animals in Human Attire but in recent years has focused on solo work. He studied finger-style guitar performance and composition at UWM and is one of the city’s top performers.
